Some college applications will allow you multiple essays to break these stories apart, but some applications are not as flexible. If this is the case then you will have to weave the previous topics into one coherent story.
Here are some important questions to answer as you begin to craft this portion of your story…
Can you include an extracurricular involvement in your personal narrative?
Does your academic history coincide with a major you want to pursue?
Are you going to continue your extracurricular involvement with a club or organization at the college?
Are inconsistencies in your academic history already explained by your personal story?
Is your personal story impacted by the university as a result of personal or family history?
Have you spent time volunteering at one of the university’s institutions?
